We're searching for a skilled diesel mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles. Qualifications and Skills:
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computer software used in modern diesel engines.
- Demonstrates time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic is required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Class A CDL a plus, but not required.
- Formal education is not required, a certificate or degree in diesel technology or a related field will be highly advantageous.
- Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines.
- Handles routine repairs, including oil, filter replacements and tire changes.
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for our fleet.
- Interpret diagnostic test results accurately.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to prioritize and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
